Rosewood Builders was born from a bold decision to leave behind a corporate career and pursue a calling — creating homes and spaces that reflect the people who live in them. Founder Russ Rose launched the company with a passion for craftsmanship, a commitment to clear communication, and a desire to bring something better to the construction experience.
With a background rooted in professionalism and project management, Russ brought the same integrity, follow-through, and attention to detail that defined his corporate work into every renovation and build. What began with kitchens and bathrooms has grown into a trusted construction company now offering full-scale custom homes across Winston-Salem and the Triad.

Meet Russ Rose
A Winston-Salem native, Russ Rose comes from a family of engineers who valued precision, problem-solving, and doing things the right way. That mindset runs deep — from his grandfather, who designed an energy-efficient home with early LEED-inspired features, to his uncle, a builder of high-end custom homes. Now a third-generation engineer, Russ brings that same intentionality and craftsmanship into every project he takes on.
His passion for construction began early, spending summers in middle and high school helping build homes on mission trips. It was there that Russ realized how much he loved working with his hands and creating spaces that truly serve the people who live in them.
Now a licensed general contractor (residential and commercial), Russ founded Rosewood Builders to raise the bar in the construction industry — combining hands-on skill with professionalism, clear communication, and a commitment to doing things right the first time. Whether he’s remodeling a kitchen or breaking ground on a new home, his goal is always the same: deliver an exceptional product and a great experience.
When he’s not on-site, Russ enjoys woodworking, spending time with his family, and being outdoors.
